For the first time,I witnessed the-happening- statue of Jesus then so-called as the highest statue in the world. As we know that,the most popular of Jesus statue is located in Rio, Brazil. My boyfriend and I went to Makale, Tana Toraja to see that. We went there by motorcycle in the early morning and headed to the top of a hill of the city (Makale). The top of the hill is very accessible and still being constructed. At that moment, there are lot of visitors from out of town. It is 40 m tall which is taller than Christ the Redeemer in Rio. To reach this place, you can go by motorbike or car. I took a road by passing Toraja Coffee Cafe, the road is quite good and takes about 15 minutes.
We GOt IT! We parked the motorcycle and go up through some steps. The statues is still covered by smooth fogs. My bae and I walked down and took some pictures. The scenery is amazing. The city is very green and beautiful. The best time to visit this place is in the morning. Don’t worry, there are some small shops there in case you are thirsty or hungry 🙂
